Every March, the pizza industry gathers at Pizza Expo to see what's new, learn about the industry, and meet old friends. For GRS, it's an amazing opportunity to hear first hand how we're doing and how we can better serve our customers. We learned a lot this year and got some great feedback.
The Connected Pizzeria
Our theme of "The connected pizzeria" meant a strong focus on products that help you connect better to customers! Our newest mobile ordering app, our online ordering solution, our multi-store automated marketing system, and the debut of our iPad self-serve ordering app got a lot of attention.
What did we hear from you? "Love the graphical ordering apps". "Adding more pictures to my online ordering website has increased sales!" "Can't wait to get the iPad app on every table." "Register for online ordering with Facebook - absolutely great!" "Consistency for my customers - from online ordering, mobile app and in-store ordering app - makes it seamless." Creative juices were flowing as our customers shared lot of potential uses for the iPad kiosk.
Marketing - Reinvented
Everyone we talked to seemed to agree that restaurant marketing has been completely transformed in the past few years. Traditional methods are out - while directly connecting to customers through e-mail and social media is in. "I've completely stopped advertising - relying on our SalesBuilder loyalty program to communicate with customers," said one DiamondTouch POS user in our booth.
The key is simplicity - tying an automated loyalty program that's integrated to your point-of-sale system so cashiers are prompted to gether e-mail addresses, and rewards are posted automatically. Customers who saw how GRS has tied point-of-sale, e-mail loyalty, and online ordering together agreed that its a winning combination. For many GRS customers, the show is a great chance to put a face to a name and meet the team they've been working with over the years. We showed many customers our new web support portal, where they can easily submit a support request, review and update any open cases. Also got great feedback about the GRS Learning Center, where product training videos and documentation help customers learn new features in their point-of-sale and other solutions. "More, More More" was the consistent theme here!
We were pleased to feature some of our great partners in the booth this year - PayPros credit card processing for one! Time after time, our clients mentioned how pleased they were that they switched to PayPros (formerly PPI) - not only because of the great technology and security and the elimination of PC Charge software, but also because of unbeatable rates and service.
